About the programme

The project “Educational support for disadvantaged pre-school children and pupils in state pre-school, primary and lower secondary education” is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus through the Inclusion and Social Dignity Programme 2021–2027 (SMIS code 319029). The beneficiary is the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, through the Directorate for the Implementation of Social Measures.

What is provided

Disadvantaged pre-school children and pupils receive social vouchers on electronic cards, under the conditions laid down in Government Emergency Ordinance No. 83/2023. The vouchers can be used for:

  • school supplies, stationery, exercise books and other materials needed for school and kindergarten;
  • clothing needed to attend school and kindergarten.

Objectives

  • reducing the number of pupils who drop out of school because of material hardship;
  • reducing extreme poverty by distributing school supplies and clothing.
