How the committees work
How the committees work
Part of the school’s work is organised through committees. Each committee has a coordinator and members appointed by decision of the head teacher. Some committees also include representatives of parents and pupils.
The committees are set out in the school’s Rules of Organisation and Operation (ROF). There are three kinds:
- standing, which work throughout the school year;
- temporary, which work only during certain periods;
- ad hoc, which are set up when a particular situation arises.
Standing committees
Standing committees
- Curriculum Committee – organises work by subject and the educational offer.
- Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee (CEAC) – monitors the quality of education and draws up the annual internal evaluation report (RAEI).
- Occupational Health and Safety and Emergency Situations Committee – is responsible for safety in the buildings and for evacuation drills.
- Internal Management Control Committee – monitors the sound organisation and procedures of the school.
- Committee for Preventing and Combating Violence, Corruption and Discrimination in the School Environment and for Promoting Interculturality – works for a safe and respectful environment. Its members include representatives of parents and pupils.
- Teacher Training and Career Development Committee – supports teachers’ continuing professional development.
Temporary committees
Temporary committees
The temporary committees include the scholarships committee, the committee for preventing absenteeism and early school leaving, the timetable committee, the committee for drawing up and revising the PDI, the committee for revising the ROF and the internal regulations, the committee for promoting the school’s image, the inventory committee and the archiving committee.
Ad hoc committees
Ad hoc committees
These are set up only when needed, for example to organise exams, for public procurement, for the acceptance of works or for disciplinary investigations.
Safety and anti-bullying
Safety and anti-bullying
As required by law, the school also has an anti-bullying action group. To find out what you can do if a child is being bullied or humiliated, read the Safety and anti-bullying page.
Good to know: The membership of the committees for the 2026–2027 school year and the names of their coordinators will be published by the school once the decisions establishing them have been issued. The list above follows the ROF currently in force and is updated along with it.
