Who can enrol

The school accepts children in:

  • kindergarten (younger, middle and older groups), in Reteag, Poieni and Bața;
  • the preparatory grade (clasa pregătitoare), the first year of school;
  • grade 1, for children who, under the methodology, enrol directly in grade 1;
  • other grades, by transfer, during the year or between school years, subject to available places.

The age at which a child can be enrolled and the exact conditions are set each year by the Ministry of Education, through the enrolment methodology and calendar.

Important: The enrolment calendar is published every year by the Ministry of Education. The stages and deadlines for the 2027–2028 school year will be announced by the school on this page and under News immediately after their official publication.

Enrolment steps

  1. Find out your catchment school. Every home address belongs to a school’s catchment area. Children living in the school’s catchment area have priority for enrolment. The school office can tell you whether your address falls within our school’s catchment area.
  2. Fill in the enrolment application. The application is filled in online or at the school office, during the period set in the calendar.
  3. Submit the documents. Bring them to the school office to be checked, within the deadline in the calendar.
  4. Find out the result. The school displays the list of enrolled children on the notice board and on the website.
  5. Sign the educational contract. On enrolment, the parent and the school sign an educational contract, setting out the rights and obligations of each party.

Documents required

The exact list is set by each year’s methodology. As a rule, you will need:

  • the enrolment application, filled in and signed by the parent;
  • the child’s birth certificate, a copy and the original for checking;
  • the identity document of the parent or legal representative, a copy and the original for checking;
  • other documents required by the methodology, for example medical documents for kindergarten or documents proving a special situation.

Standard applications can be found under Forms for parents and in the Forms section of the documents.

How places are allocated

  • In the first stage, children from the school’s catchment area are enrolled up to the number of approved places.
  • Children from other areas may be enrolled in the remaining places, based on the general and specific criteria set by the methodology.
  • If not all places are filled, a second stage follows, according to the official calendar.

The school’s specific criteria are published before enrolment begins.
